The love triangle story of Cavalleria rusticana is a 1-hour opera composed by Pietro Mascagni to an Italian libretto by Giovanni Targioni-Tozzetti and Guido Menasci, adapted from a play and short story written by Giovanni Verga. It is performed with local and regional artists of OPERAtunity Maryland in partnership with Harford Choral Society. Featured are Suzanne S. Chadwick, Aurelio Dominguez, Patricia Portillo, Jose Sacin, and Catrin Davies. Accompaniment provided by Erika Knepp. This is a fundraiser for the Havre de Grace Opera House Foundation.
